Matcha Facts, Tips And Hints

–Always sift powder before mixing to avoid clumping.
–Use the Bamboo Scoop (Chashaku) to push the matcha powder through the Sifter.
–Clean the Scoop with a dry cloth.

–Matcha should not be made with boiling water. The ideal water temperature for matcha is around 175F/80C or just under a boil.
–Add 2 oz of warm water to sifted matcha and briskly whisk using a Bamboo Matcha Whisk (Chasen) or Matcha Frother to achieve perfect consistency with a creamy froth on top.
–Add additional warm water to achieve desired thickness.
–Rinse Bamboo Whisk under warm water and let air dry on your Whisk Holder (Chasen Tate).

–Matcha powder does not dissolve, therefore it is best consumed immediately after preparation.
–Store in the refrigerator after opening to maintain freshness.

–Each airtight container of our Ceremonial matcha tea or Premium matcha tea grades contain 15 – 30 servings, depending if 1/2 tsp (1g) or 1 tsp (2g) is used.
